Hey, it’s Mel

Parents often come to me with questions like: “How do I get my child to listen?” or “How come they behave at school and not at home?”

I’m here to help you parent without shame, blame, or pain. With nearly a decade of Montessori teaching experience, I now guide families to bring calm, clarity, and connection into daily life. My approach is rooted in child development, respectful discipline, and real-world parenting, not perfection.

Together, we’ll build habits and home environments that support your child’s independence and emotional growth, while helping you feel confident and capable in your family leadership role.

What do I do as a Parenting Guide & Consultant?

Parenting is arguably the most important and challenging job we’ll ever take on, yet most do it with little if any formal training or guidance.

I guide families with a supportive, heart-centered approach—drawing from Montessori principles, mindfulness, observation, and years of hands-on experience. I help cut through the noise of parenting advice and work with you to create a plan that truly fits your unique family.

As a consultant, I collaborate with you to develop clear, actionable strategies with realistic timelines and steps. Whether you're building new routines, addressing challenging behaviors, or just feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to help you move forward with confidence and clarity.

FAQ

  • We'll start with a discovery call to see if we're a good fit.
Then, we will begin our consulting relationship with a judgement-free introductory observation of your family dynamics, and then have a team meeting with actionable items that I will support you on over a 6 week period.

  • I offer a variety of ways to help according to your needs and availability.

Our relationship will start with a call, observation at school and/or home, and a one-on-one meeting where we would talk goals and ways to achieve them. This may mean sessions that include the whole family or visits at home.

If my coaching services are not what you’re looking for right now, I also offer organization help.
    Montessori Home Organization: $75-125/hr

  • Initial package - $400
This gives us a chance to slow down and really get to know your child, your routines, and what’s feeling hard right now. It includes time for observation, a one-hour session to set goals and reflect together, and a follow-up coaching session to begin making real changes. I also include a phone check-in afterward to help you feel supported as you apply what we’ve discussed.

This first step helps us build a relationship rooted in trust and understanding.
After that, we can talk about what kind of ongoing support might be the best fit for your family. Rates vary depending on location, number of children, and the level of involvement you’re looking for.
